Hi all
For those of you who use them, can you tell me which KPI's you/your company tend to use as company measures?
I am already aware of/have used, the usual 'contenders' (Jobs on, Candidate Interviews, CV Submits/Specs, Interviews, Client Meetings, Phone-calls, Marketing etc) but i wanted to see if there are any other specific KPI's companies are using.
Just asking as part of wider research ,into the use and popularity of certain KPI's. Feel free to add any thoughts you may have on the use and effectiveness of such measures.
Thanks
Dee

Hi Dee
KPI's can be used effectively to help people understand what they need to do to hit their personal goals and should be different for everyone. Think of them as critical success factors for want of a better word. As craig suggested invoices out certainly is one of them. When looking to use KPI' ensure you are reporting against ones that are relevant eg just saying "calls" is no use to anyone
If you need specific help devising some - drop me a line |

KPI to look at first is the Number business development calls, Number of Jobs, Number of CV's being sent, Number of Client interviews, Number of Placements and revenue.
To give me a deeper insight in to an individual consultant I will then look at the ratios of BD Calls to Jobs, CV to Interview, CV to Placement, Interview to Placement, Average placement value and overall monthly billing average as well as monthly billing average for the past three months.
Yes I may go a little over the top but in my experience it is better to use KPIs as a way to develop a consultant rather than to just beat them up and say work harder. By looking at the ratios you should be able to spot strengths and weaknesses in each consultant which will help focus your coaching. In addition you can set KPI's based on the individual rather than a general company wide policy.
The key to success with KPI's is to ensure that the people in the company understand why you review these stats and how they will be used to improve their skills. |

Thanks everyone
I'm actually just doing 'spot research', to back up my own assertion on KPI's for a training project. Seems that we are all using the same KPI's and conversion ratios.
Thanks again for your input.
