Hi,

Are there any start-up recruitment companies or independent consultants out there who are looking to share the cost of job advertising or CV access to save money and maximise exposure?

I operate a start-up recruitment company (6 months) and am coming up for renewals with my job board licenses so am keen to see if there is a better way to use multiple job boards with less costs.

Thanks,

B

I'm not sure that this wouldn't be fraudulent activity. At the very least it's dishonest and unfair to job boards, not all of which are prohibitively expensive.

Put it this way: they are providing a service and you should pay for it. You can't expect to go into business and not incur costs. Any placements you make will more than pay for the job board costs.

(The moderator should have stepped in to say all of this.)

Hi there

I have just started up my own job board at www.ukworkfinders.co.uk, the site is currently undergoing a redesign. The site has been live for about 1 month, and is currently undergoing a high volume of advertisement to attract Job Seekers to the site.

I feel we can be a great benefit to your company.

Please drop me an email at shaun@ukworkfinders.co.uk and we can discuss this further.

Regards
Shaun

I agree, when someone nicks something off you, you will understand that it's not nice!

To come on this forum ready to commit fraud openly with total strangers is plain dumb!

Also I'm sure most of these companies, have good ip tracking alearts and methods of seeing when this happens

be very careful.
T&Cs will probably state no sharing with the threat of severe financial penalties.
With the focus on security the more reputable boards are clamping down on license sharing.

It's theft, pure and simple. You might as well walk into your local Comet and steal a PC for your office too.

T&Cs doesn't allow you to share job boards. My previous company had tried to rent their excessive job board logins, but the job board company found out and they suspended all the IDs which belonged to them. So, I would suggest not to do that!

I must agree with the other posters on this subject, sharing the services of job boards is akin to thieving from said job boards. No matter what your opinion of how job boards behave, they deserve payment for their services just like agencies do for their services. It's this type of practice which creates a further divide between job boards and agencies where both parties should actually be working more closely to achieve industry wide improvement for the clients and candidates served by the wider recruitment industry. If you have an issue with the cost of job board services, negotiate with the boards you use or find cheaper alternatives (They do exist!)

I happen to be aware of some of the larger job boards now actively monitoring the ISP addresses of their client base and where they find differing addresses they are now following up with the client who's account has been used and I believe with the ISP providers who the rogue agency using the account are provided my. It surely won't be long until there is some form of legal case surrounding such activity, particularly as the job boards have become more aware of such activity through people posting subjects like this on discussion forums like UK Recruiter.

If you feel it's worth taking the risk, then so be it, but just stop and think about how you would feel if your clients started to steal from you, because this is effectively what you would be doing to them.
